Anita, single mother of 2 girls (10 months and 3 years)

"I was still in college when I met the father of my first child who is a classmate. I fell in love with him and we ended up dating. A few months later, I found out that I was pregnant and I had to stop my studies. I was 17 and so was my partner. Being still too young, the father of my baby did not agree to marry me," she said.

"I went out again with another man, mature that I hope to change my life. Alas, he impregnated me and abandoned me like what my first partner did."

Desperate and with no means to raise her two children, she approached the President of Fokontany to claim the rights of her children. He directed her to the listening and legal advice center at the Regional Directorate of Population in Tamatave. The next day, she went to the center. "They welcomed me well. The person with whom I shared my worries was really empathetic and cheered me up. She also confided in me that she is going to follow my case closely."

''What a joy to start a new life! I also went to family planning to avoid unwanted pregnancies and all these problems. I want a stable life! '' Anita exclaims with joy.
